Training Christoph Sauerland

Christoph Sauerland has been working in the timber business for more than 30 years.

His focus is on sliced veneer, and he has gained his experience

in the different types of wood through its extensive training program as follows:

1986-1990 Manufacturer of custom-made panels for walls and ceilings.

                    All types of wood were possible at this time on customer's request.

July 1991-May 1992 training at Nadge, a veneer factory in Hamburg, with excellent

knowledge of the production of Wenge, Mappa - Birch and other exotic wood species.

June 1992-July 1992 training with "Donau Furnier", Harro Hoffmann. Here I was able to

get a detailed insight into the production and sales of mainly American Cherry and

Japanese Ash.

August 1992-Dec 1992 Training at Keystone Veneers, Williamsport, PA. Here I was

integrated in the veneer factory at various workplaces, from wood cleaning to slicer

assistant, dryer assistant and later in the salesroom.

Jan 1993-May 1996 Head of production at Novotex Ltd. in Ghana.

June 1996-Dec 2000 Independent timber agency with representation of Keystone

VeneersUSA; AFS AG Switzerland; Placages du Centre France; Merten Wood Bremen

Jan 2001-June 2010 back to Ghana, working as an independent timber agent for

customers all over the world. Mainly the purchase of sliced Veneer for the van Hout

Group and sawn timber for HSS. Holz Schnettler Soest as well as sale of spare parts

and machinery to Ghana.

Since June 2010

back in Germany and active with the Trading Agency.
